Westwood Pastures
Westwood provides stunning views on the edge of the lovely market town of Beverley. Magnificent views of the Beverley Minster can be found here.
Westwood is a beautiful pasture of approximately 600 acres, which offers excellent grazing for cattle as well as an open space for the community and visitors to enjoy. There is even a golf course, which is challenging and provides a great opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and play amongst the cattle. In addition, there is the Beverley racecourse on Westwood too, which welcomes numerous visitors for racing and other celebratory events.
Burton Bushes is part of Westwood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, providing woodland to walk through and enjoy.
It is a perfect place to walk, golf, pop to the races or treat yourself to an ice cream from the resident ice cream van, Abbyos Ice Cream found on Newbald Road most days in the spring/summer months.
Every Saturday morning, Park run organises a 5km event on Westwood for participants to walk, jog or run the course.
Figham Pastures
Figham is a pasture found on the southern side of Beverley, a hidden gem with much to offer nature enthusiasts and walkers.
It is approximately 220 acres of low lying pasture land, where cattle and horses are grazed between mid- April and the beginning of December each year.
Swinemoor Pastures
Swinemoor is a pasture at roughly the same acreage as Figham and also provides grazing for cattle and horses alike in the grazing season (April to Dec).
It is an excellent place for walkers to enjoy the natural surroundings and truly get away from it all.
