A group of four young people (Olivia, Evie, Sebastian and Oscar) from the Beverley area have been working tirelessly this summer to help clean up Westwood and raise a significant amount of money for Dove House Hospice through a sponsored bike ride down the Hudson Way (Beverley to Market Weighton).
The group have picked up a large amount of litter on Westwood, cleaning up the environment for everyone to enjoy. They have also cleaned dirty signs and had a “clean up for the cows” campaign, which they designed a logo to use on future signage on Westwood. The young people have done a brilliant job this summer and the Pasture Masters thank them for their efforts to ensure Westwood remains a lovely place to visit.
The group have been taking part in the Lifestyle Programme and have been shortlisted to be a local winner. There will be a ceremony in Hull on 25th November 2025 where a video of what the young people have achieved will be shown. We wish them well and will provide an update on the outcome of the awards.
